Signs of being stressed

SIGNS OF BEING STRESSED, and who is vulnerable
Everyone in life has pressures on them, but we tend to cope better with normal pressures or stresses if we have had experience in dealing with them before, and if we feel we can cope with the situations and with those pressures. However, new, difficult and outside events tend to make us feel uncomfortable.

Common symptoms of stress
Following are some of the common feelings and reactions people have when stressed:
Dizziness
Poor memory, concentration
Headaches
Neck stiffness
Dry mouth
Feeling of a lump in the throat
Nausea, butterflies in the stomach
Indigestion
Irritable bowel syndrome (abdominal cramps)
Breathlessness
Heart racing or thumping
Chest pain
Shakiness
Skin rash
Hyperventilating (over-breathing)
Tiredness
Anxiety
Irritability
Loss of enjoyment of life
Early stages of depression
Who is vulnerable to stress?
Certain factors make people vulnerable to stress. They include:
1) Living or working in conflict situations
2) Having no time for relaxation
3) Being very busy and time pressured
4) Being an anxious, worrying person
5) Being a perfectionist, never satisfied with the standards most people see as reasonable
6) Lacking the self confidence to say no in various situations, or to express one’s opinion
7) NOT HAVING SOMEONE TO WHOM YOU CAN, AND DO TALK, TALK ON A REGULAR BASIS
